Every Picture Tells A Story is a "sensitive, exploratory portrait of William Scott's early years." Alongside this film, James Scott's unique collaboration with Richard Hamilton, Richard Hamilton (1969), will also be presented. This screening marks the release of a new, fully remastered Blu-Ray/DVD of Scott's work that is archived at the BFI. Along with Every Picture Tells A Story, Scott's art films Love's Presentation (David Hockney), R.B. Kitaj, Richard Hamilton, The Great Ice Cream Robbery (Claes Oldenburg and Hannah Wilke), and Chance, History, Art... (a look back at surrealism through contemporary artists) will also be featured on the DVD.
