27 – 31 March 2014
Inspired by the work of William Scott, this is a unique exhibition of original work created by a group of Action on Hearing Loss artists. Each participated in a ground-breaking project created as part of the Action on Hearing Loss, Educational Day Services Inspirational Programme.
The project used the Victoria Art Gallery’s (VAG) 2013 centennial exhibition Simplicity and Subject as its focus. This celebrated the birth and work of one of Bath’s most important 20th century artists, William Scott (1913 – 1989).
Starting in September 2013 the artists, all of whom are Deaf with additional needs, took part in a series of in-house and gallery-based workshops and exhibition visits.
In partnership with both the VAG’s education services and local artist / independent gallery manager Kate O’Brien, the artists have produced a truly unique body of work across many art forms.
This is an exhibition not to be missed.
