The William Scott Archive is situated close to the Scotts’ former home in Chelsea at 45 Fernshaw Road, London SW10 0TN.
The William Scott Archive contains William Scott’s personal and professional papers, including correspondence, photographs, exhibition catalogues and press cuttings. It also contains some of Scott’s brushes and paints, and a selection of objects he used in his still-life arrangements. There is also a smaller collection relating to his wife Mary Scott’s work.
The archive material was collected and maintained over the years by the Scott family, and continues to be preserved and catalogued by the William Scott Foundation.
Some additional material (sometimes copies of originals) has been donated to the archive by Scott’s contemporaries and their estates, by extended family members and by museums.
We regret at present visits to the Archive are not possible due to COVID-19 and internal re-organisation.
