Queen’s Historic Visit to William Scott’s Home Town

The Queen paid a historic visit to William Scott’s home town of Enniskillen on 26 June 2012.

In March 1988 William Scott and his family presented Yellow Matix, 1962 to Fermanagh County Museum, Enniskillen Castle in remembrance of the injured and the dead in the bombing that took place on Remembrance Day in 1987.

On her three day visit to Northern Ireland in 2009, the Queen visited the William Scott in Ireland exhibition at F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio in Banbridge
