Exploring The Vessel

Exploring the Vessel will focus on the works of a painter and a potter. The painter is William Scott, a prominent and important figure of British Art in the post-war period, and the potter is Ashley Howard, a leading contemporary ceramicist.  Showing paintings, drawings and works on paper by Scott and new ceramic pieces by Howard, the exhibition will aim to look at how both artists have engaged with the vessel, ancient forms that are at once functional and beautiful.
